Face of the Future: No Judgement – Just High Expectations

Empowerment Teas
Youth in at-risk situations often give up on their capacity to believe that success and happiness are possibilities in their lives. Young girls in such situations are prone to endure cycles of negative behaviors that lead to escalating negative outcomes. Through our empowerment teas, we provide a forum to inspire young ladies to realize the great potential they possess and.
thus, see a brighter tomorrow.

Causes Overview:

Proverbial Peace Revived (PPR) is committed to addressing the pressing issues and challenges faced by youth in at-risk environments, particularly those within the foster care and juvenile justice systems. The objective is to provide them with the tools, support, and mentorship necessary to transcend their circumstances and realize their inherent potential. Below are the key causes and initiatives PPR is focused on:

  1. Empowering Youth Trauma Survivors: Many youth in foster care and the juvenile justice systems have experienced significant trauma, leading to emotional wounds and barriers to success. PPR aims to empower these youth by providing healing, guidance, and strategies to overcome their past experiences, fostering emotional wellness and resilience.
  2. Building Emotional Wellness and Life Skills: PPR recognizes the critical need to equip youth with essential life skills and emotional wellness tools. Through the Face of the Future (FOF) program, PPR strives to instill forgiveness, self-motivation, self-esteem, strong interpersonal skills, and goal-setting strategies. By doing so, PPR seeks to prepare these youth for successful futures.
  3. Breaking the Cycle of Disadvantage: Youth exiting the foster care and juvenile justice systems often face substantial disadvantages in education and employment. PPR aims to break this cycle of disadvantage by offering mentorship, educational support, and empowerment programs to help these youth realize their potential and pursue a path of success.
  4. Providing Positive Role Models and Mentorship: A lack of positive role models exacerbates the challenges faced by at-risk youth. PPR’s programs like FOF Mentorship for Excellence and FOF Believe to Achieve aim to bridge this gap by offering mentorship and guidance to youth, fostering healthy relationships, and promoting healing and growth.
  5. Faith-Based Foundation for Transformation: PPR firmly believes in the transformative power of faith. By integrating faith-based teachings and principles into their programs, particularly through the FOF Believe to Achieve initiative, PPR strives to help youth understand their value, make positive choices, and envision a brighter future beyond their past mistakes.
  6. Advocacy for Better Systems and Opportunities: Beyond direct programs, PPR advocates for systemic changes and increased opportunities for youth in at-risk environments. They aim to raise awareness about the challenges these youth face, seeking to garner support and resources to enhance their quality of life and provide a pathway to success.

By addressing these causes and initiatives, PPR endeavors to be a beacon of hope and empowerment for the youth, working towards a future where every individual can recognize their inherent worth and achieve their dreams.
